3 Generations Apart | Brody + BJ

The other day Brody’s great grandma joined us for dinner and when these two get together it’s like two “peas in a pod”…..all laughs and giggles! Brody’s also in the “potty training phase” so he pretty much lives in his big boy underwear lately! His favorites: Lightening McQueen, Buzz, & Johnny 5 Robots.

Two Giggly Kids | Lori + Rafa’s Wedding

I hear speeches at every wedding I shoot and when I heard Rafa’s older brother give his speech it was all giggles for the bride and groom.  It was one of those “you had to be there to understand” moments, and it brought a smile and laugh to everyone that was at the wedding! And considering that Lori’s grandfather had passed earlier that morning, the smiles and laughter was much needed!  Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at Lori’s fathers house in Coconut Grove and it was the perfect setting for a unbelievable backyard wedding!

A few bride and groom portraits at Lori and Rafa’s place on Brickell Ave in Miami.

Not too shabby for a backyard huh? It was amazing! These are the giggles! They’re also great dancers!Another view of the backyard after sunset.Other great vendors:  Florist: Avant Gardens,  Band: Carlos Oliva,  Caterer: Sarah Sharpe,  Videography: Wanakhavi Wakisi

Rafael - They look great!!! Can’t wait to see the rest.

Rafa & Lori

Rafael Urrutia - The photos look amazing! They do capture the ambience. My favorite are the last three. Spectacular! Look forward to the rest.

The other Rafael (Urrutia)

Alex Rodriguez - Bro, your titles crack me up, great shots.

carlos oliva - Thanks for including me. Your work is outstanding…congratulations. March 22, 2011

katherine blasik - absolutely beautiful and fun at the same time. I am partial to the black and white photo. can’t wait to see the rest.

Peggy and Bernie Butts - The photos are breathtaking! They bring back the emotion and beauty of the evening bringing it to life again. You have an extraordinary sense of composition that puts a very contempory twist to a formal event. Clean, crisp and extremely creative. Great eye. Can’t wait to see the others. Also,I don’t believe that I was ever aware that you there (except for family shots) so you captured such intimacy quite discretely.

tina - amazing… more more more!!!!!!

Sarah + John’s “WACKYBOOTH”

Last week I posted my brother-in-laws wedding on the blog and to no surprise the “WACKYBOOTH” made a special appearance, even the vendors joined in to have some fun while working! The best part was I was able to jump in and partake in the wackiness and let it all hang out, well not ALL but close! Enjoy!

*Disclaimer* Brody didn’t drink any Miller Lite, he’s more of a Corona guy like his dad!If you’d like to find out more about the WACKYBOOTH, please click the “CONTACT” link below for info.

Grey’s Anatomy + Yankee’s = Love | Sarah + John’s Wedding

I have to admit that every once in a while shooting a wedding can be a little stressful, but not this one!  That being said if you read my blog you know that Sarah and John are my sister-in-law and brother-in-law so this wedding was not only stress free but I actually had a drink (adult beverage), ate good food, and totally enjoyed the night mixing business with pleasure!

I meet John over 10 years ago when I first met my wife Kristy and over the years we’ve had some good times: crazy holiday dinners listening to my nephews rap (uncensored) music,  fire works in the front driveway (that’s another whole story in its self!),  playing golf (“Get the ball out of my yard!”), and I’m sure I’m missing a handful of other good stuff.

Sarah came into the mix just a few years ago and is the perfect fit for John!  She’s cool, calm, and keeps everything under control just when things are about to go south.  All joking aside, she’s not only a perfect fit for John, but a perfect fit into our family.  We love you Sarah and welcome you into our family!

Check out their engagement session in Delray Beach!

Since it would have been dark after the ceremony they decided to do a “First Look” before the ceremony.  I’m so glad they did, the lighting was on fire and the photos came out great!

Who says white people can’t jump!Aidan and Keegan walked Sarah down the isle.A good friend of Sarah and John did their ceremony.  It was Chris’s first time and he did an amazing job.  His service was nontraditional, comical, very personal, and perfect for them!  Two thumbs up for Chris on this one, it was stellar! Check back soon to see the WACKYBOOTH photos from Sarah and John’s wedding! It was EPIC!!!
